For the outdoor Komen events held in Italy, we produced roll‑ups and walls finished in Total White. These include 80 × 200 cm Velo‑model roll‑ups and 200 × 200 cm Lineo‑model display walls.
Race for the Cure is Komen Italy’s flagship event, the largest initiative for the fight against breast cancer in Italy and across the globe.
The event features a large‑scale Village hosting health‑, sport‑ and wellbeing‑focused activities. Within this area sits the Health Village, an international one‑of‑a‑kind offering of free specialist consultations, alongside the popular and moving 5 km run and 2 km walk.
The first edition of Race for the Cure took place at the Circus Maximus in Rome in 2000. Since then, participant numbers have grown year on year. Today, Rome’s Race for the Cure is the most well‑attended Race of its kind across the world.
The central figures of Race for the Cure are the Women in Pink, women who have faced breast cancer. A special area is reserved for them to register, collect their race pack containing the t‑shirt, cap and pink race bib, as well as to meet and share feelings and experiences.
Their positive testimony has brought about a shift in how the illness is approached and has offered encouragement to all women who receive this diagnosis each year. Race for the Cure takes place in Rome, Bari, Bologna and Brescia, involving more than 115 000 participants.
Practically since its very beginning, the patron of the event has been actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta, who generously lends her image and voice to the many promotional initiatives for the event, alongside “Women in Pink” ambassador, actress Rosanna Banfi.
